Testing the Topdon TC004 Thermal Camera During a Winnipeg Home Inspection

Thermal imaging is a valuable tool during home inspections because it allows inspectors to detect temperature differences that may indicate hidden problems.

Recently I tested the Topdon TC004 thermal camera during a Winnipeg home inspection to see how it performs in real inspection conditions.

The unit performed very well. The calibration time when moving the camera around had very little lag and the display resolution was clear and easy to read.

Thermal cameras can help identify heat loss, insulation gaps, and moisture issues that may not be visible to the naked eye.

For inspectors, tools like this can provide additional insight when evaluating homes, especially during Winnipeg’s colder seasons.
