What Does a Home Inspection Report Look Like?
One of the most common questions I get from clients is:
“What does a home inspection report actually look like?”
So today I’m sharing a real sample inspection report so you can see exactly how everything is presented.
At 365 Home Inspection, one of my main goals is to make sure reports are clear, easy to understand, and useful for buyers, homeowners, and realtors.
A home inspection report shouldn’t feel overwhelming or confusing. Instead, it should clearly show the condition of the home and highlight anything that may need attention.
What Our Inspection Reports Include
Our reports are designed to be simple and informative. Each report includes:
✔ Clear photos of findings
✔ Easy-to-read summaries
✔ Detailed explanations when needed
✔ Organized sections for each part of the home
Something that’s just as important as documenting issues is documenting systems in operation.
That means we often include photos showing things working properly at the time of the inspection, not just problems.
This helps give clients a complete snapshot of the home’s condition during the inspection.
Advanced Tools We Use
Depending on the property, inspections may also include:
🚁 Drone imagery for roof and exterior views
🌡 Thermal imaging to help identify hidden issues
📸 High-quality photo documentation throughout the inspection
The Reporting Platform
Our reports are delivered using the Inspectagram reporting platform, which helps present information in a clear and easy-to-navigate format for clients.
A big thank you to Inspectagram for creating a reporting tool that makes inspection results easy to understand.
